Triangle Chapter Wins National Awards for 2025
Past-president Herb Segal accepts awards on behalf of the Chapter
CAPT Frank Michaels, USN (ret), Senior Director, Affiliated Councils & Chapters with MOAA Headquarters, attended the North Carolina Council of Chapters (NCCoC) meeting held in Winston-Salem in early June. He used the opportunity to present national recognition to chapters represented.
On behalf of the Triangle Chapter, COL Herb Segal, USA (ret) accepted the two five-star awards presented to the chapter.
The Triangle Chapter has received the five-star award for Levels of Excellence for the eighth consecutive time. The Levels of Excellence (LOE) Awards are MOAA's most prestigious affiliate awards, honoring councils and chapters for their efforts across the full scope of our association's mission.
The Triangle Chapter also received the five-star Col. Marvin J. Harris Communications Award for the second year in a row based upon the website you are now viewing. The annual Col. Marvin J. Harris Communications Awards recognize councils and chapters that achieve excellence in communicating with their members and communities. MOAA affiliates nominated themselves in two categories: newsletters (print or electronic) and websites. Submissions were judged on design and content.
